Victorian racing heads to Benalla on Tuesday for an eight race card.

The track is currently rated a good 4 with warm conditions forecast for the next 24 hours we should see a fast, dry deck.

Billy Bestford has cast his eye across the meeting and found a couple of bets he’s keen on.

I saw enough from the debut of (13) Talentino that he should be hard to beat here at 2nd start. He had jumped out well leading into that and probably didn’t love the heavy track. He was well backed on the day. Jump outs on dry were good and he will go forward from a nice gate and can get away with this with added fitness.

(5) Master Sun looks the pick of the debutants and brings some nice form from his recent trial. Not too sure about the wide gate however.

(2) Prooinga has raced here before all three career starts and was very good last time out. Looks to be building towards a maiden win.

Pretty keen on (1) Dundirtcheap here who looks ready to win again now. Won first two career starts in good style then started well in the market in town, finishing 3rd to Savannah Cloud and Gentleman Roy – extremely good form for this. Got too far back last start but is rock hard fit now and ready to win back in 64 grade.

(2) Redjina won at The Valley last start at a big price over this trip. That was in this grade and he draws for a perfect run thoughout.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
