Another Friday night under lights at Canterbury means there’s some good racing to get us ready for the weekend.

The track is currently rated a soft 5 with the rail out 3 metres.

Pretty keen to back (8) Psychiatrist here who was scratched from Saturday’s Silver Slipper with this a much easier task. Tackled a hot 2yo race on debut where he was well in the market. Was pretty poor there but has since been spelled and trials have been really good. Clark on board should find the front and prove tough to catch.

(3) Nolan looks a danger and was very good on debut. Sure to to improve off that and the rise to 1200m will benefit him.

(7) Himalaism is another who should be an improver now with a couple of runs under the belt.

The maiden win from (10) Pretty Amazing was exactly that, reeling them in easily for a comfortable 1L win. Good to see Jmac jump aboard today considering Waller has a strong hand in this I’ll that as a good lead. Will get back from the wide gate and should get the last crack at them.

Think stablemate (5) Inawushi is a decent EW chance and is ready to win one now 3rd up following two good efforts. Has had a little freshen up and you have to respect the stable throwing him in a 64 as a maiden.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
