Keen to be with the Waller import (3) Irish Sequel here who presents 3rd up after two nice building runs to start the prep. First up over 1400m when clearly not suited he hit the line well, and last start over the mile he was badly held up and lost all momentum from barrier 1. Up to 2000m will definitely suit and I think he’ll go close in an average race.

No reason to jump off (3) Frederick The Dane who led them at a good speed at this T/D last start and was simply too fast, with a big gap back to 3rd. The 2nd horse, Okay To Pay, has won since, and for the most part this looks an easier race. He should go to the front and be hard to run down again.

(1) Hard Press is tricky to line up. Some of his SP’s in the past read very well but he’d had some issues and the 3kg claimer Josh Richards on first up doesn’t fill me with confidence. Plenty of upside but I’d rather see him.

Trent Crebbin

Trent’s interest in the thoroughbred started out as a spark with Black Caviar, became a flame with Winx, and has now intensified into a burning obsession with Arcadia Queen. He started out throwing loose change on random trifectas at the pub, but it wasn’t long before he was watching replays and looking at sectionals, weights and markets. Trent specializes in Victorian racing and hopes his first winner as an owner is just around the corner.
