Think the midweek win for (3) Va Via will do her plenty of benefit and she really exploded when clear there. Prelude run before that was very good and I think she’s fine getting 1200m now and maps nicely from barrier 4.
(5) Nanagui was good on debut when tight for room but then very strong to the line. Draws out here which looks like it will suit and Jmac takes over. Stable is flying!
(8) Ruthless Dame was exactly that on debut, winning by a length eased down well before the post. Cleary she is very talented but back in trip could be a slight knock?
(10) La Gioia looks a big price if I’m giving Va Via a chance. Less than a length off her on debut and will improve off that run.
Tip: (3) Va Via - $6.50 at Moneyball

(4) Flying Mascot is doing exactly that – he is airborne! Did absolutely no favours to himself last start when keen all the way but still pulled away from them for a cosy win. 3rd up last prep was an absolute demolition and I think he’s going better this time in!
Honestly think (3) Rocha Clock can run a race here 2nd up. She’s always better for a run under the belt and I think you can be a touch forgiving of that fresh run when caught in inferior ground. Gets pace on here and will be flying late. 2nd up lst prep was best run, splitting Icebath and Forbidden Love – A grade form now!
(1 Turaath brings the best form into this dropping out of the G1 Futurity. Back to her own sex here she is much better suited and is at peak fitness now. 1600m my only concern.

Dissapointed to see Remarque scratched here as I was super keen on him.
(6) Gimme Par went super last prep when running 4th in the Danehill. She’s a horse best kept on the fresh side and will be ready to fire here again. With Remarque out she looks the toughest to beat. Loves 1100m.
(1) Genereal Beau will appreciate being back to his own age group here after running in the Oakleigh Plate. Loves this track/trip and wouldn’t shock to see him regain some form.
(8) Zarastro has been trialling really nicely and clearly has a stack of upside. Yet to see the best of him but his form stands out. Only horse which has knocked him off was Paulele on debut. Waller wouldn’t send him here if he wasn’t ready.

In an open race I’ll have a stab on the unknown horse. (6) Let’srollthedice debut win was enormous. Missed the start, snagged back on an absolute bog track, raced around in the straight as green as grass but still put 3.5L on them. If he can put it all together here he could be anything! Think he’s even better suited onto dry ground now.
(4) Sir Bailey turned the tables on merchant prince at start 2 with that horse then running well in the Blue Diamond. He only got better the further that race went so I expect he will eat up this trip now. Can be very handy from the inside draw.
(1) Merchant Prince ran well as mentioned in the Blue Diamond. He was 1300 – 1200 there and I think he will enjoy getting out to 1400 now. Was a super win over Sir Bailey at 2nd start and he is good enough here.

Pretty keen on (4) Argentia who looks absolutely primed for the mile here 3rd up. Was beaten by the track bias last start but still ran very well. At set weights here I think she looks extremely hard to beat while getting back to the Flemington track is only a positive for her.
(1) Yearning is the clear danger. He was huge in that same race, coming from well back to finish 3rd. Not many horses managed to do that on the day and he’s a G1 winner over this trip!
(11) So You See is the new horse on the scene with an emphatic debut win at Pakenham two weeks ago. Pakenham maidens don’t often scream of quality but this was a serious win. The stable and jockey have big wraps and she could easily go on with it.
(3) Barb Raider next best.

(3) Lost And Running thrashed Overpass with a big weight fresh with that form continuing to stack up. This horse is just a genuine winner and has proven himself against the best sprinters with that Everest run last prep. I think he’s come back in even better order and will give this a huge shake.
(16) Artorius is a much maligned horse but his racing pattern just doesn’t do him any favours. Clearly has all the ability in the world and I’m hoping he can run well here. He looks to get in so well at the weights and if he can be a touch closer in running, he’s got the late speed to run past all of these. Coolmore run here was very good.
Don’t need to tell you how good (2) Home Affairs is and if he brings his best this race could be all over. Was a very tough win fresh and is much better suited now at 1200m. Loves the straight and he’s knocking down the door as the best sprinter in the country.
(14) Swats That can run a cheeky race here down in the weights. Was a really nice return when charging late to run 4th in the Lightning. 2nd up and the 1200m straight is her go. Back to handicap conditions is a positive and she can run a hole.
(1) Masked Crusader will probably enjoy getting to 1200m more than any other horse here. We know his flashing light run in the Everest and we know how strong he is late. Won’t be shocked to see him flying over the top of them but can;t have them all in the numbers!

Looking forward to seeing (3) Spanish Mission getting to 2000m following a very good fresh run. Looks like he has come back in top order, his form worldwide is proper elite level and he is ready to win.
(2) Think it Over is a star and just doesn’t run a bad race. He’s much better suited onto dry ground and his record over this trip is outstanding. If he handles Flemington then he will be right in the finish.
(11) She’s Ideel is ready for this now 3rd up following two good runs this prep. Flashed home in good sectionals fresh and then nearly beat VE last start. Absolutely loves this trip and is 3 wins from 5 runs when third up.
(8) Callsign Mav was good fresh and if he runs 2000m I think he can run into the placings.

(4) Rock is my best value chance all day and in a wide open affair I think he can run a drum. No doubt there’s question marks on how good he is going but his form through last prep is proper WFA form. He is a 2nd up horse and his record shows that, while getting to a bigger and dry track will only do him favours. There looks to be plenty of speed on and hoping he can be flying late.
(9) Chaillot is a gun fresh horse, unbeaten from four first up runs. Loves Flemington and loves the 1400m, gets a perfect run in transit and I have no doubt she will be right in the finish.
(3) Kissonallfourcheeks has some good form around her and is a winning machine over in WA. The stable wouldn’t have brought her over here for a haircut and I think she is going to love Flemington.
(11) Fourhometwo could be one of the more interesting runners here today. A grade form overseas, trialled up nice enough and Jmac booked for the ride. Watch the market.
(14) Morvada is flying, races up on speed and is tough as nails. Next best.

(5) Cardigan Queen looks a good way to round out the day for us. She is flying and flew home last start in the Vanity behind Barb Raider. Rarely puts in a poor run and l really like her dropping in weight for this today. Looks well placed and with any luck from the back she’ll be winning.
(12) Hesket has found his mojo now winning two on the bounce following a string of runner-up finishes. The form keeps stacking up around him and he’s been running time. Still on the up.
(6) Chartres was good fresh and unlucky behind Finance Tycoon and Generation. That’s strong form for this and is unbeaten 2nd up. Won’t be losing on him.
Tip: (5) Cardigan Queen - $3.40 at Bet365
Also Backing: (6) Chartres - $8.00 at Sportsbet
Betting Strategy: 1.5u WIN Cardigan Queen
