Think (3) Twilight Affairs can take massive improvement from the debut performance where she started a short-priced favourite. That was off the back off a number of nice trials and I just think she might not have loved the wet conditions on race day. Should get drier conditions here and she’ll find the front and doubt she remains a maiden for too long.

(8) Ever Bella looks the main danger and also comes into this off a solid debut run. Will race just in behind Twilight Affairs and should improve coming into today.

(3) All England returns to the track today and will compete as a gelding for the first time. He showed enough in the debut prep to think he should be winning one of these soon and maybe the ultimate gear change may be what he needed.

(13) Vengeful was a big trial winner a couple of weeks ago at Rosehill and he looks to be an exciting horse. He’s sure to have plenty of fans.

(5) Hamaki comes out of a pretty handy maiden and looks ready to do something now 3rd up from a spell.

Thinking (9) Canbya can turn the tables on Rejoiced here from a nice low draw and a small weight swing on that horse. From barrier 1 she can be a bit more positive today and should be suited getting out to the mile here.

(4) Rejoiced is undefeated through two career starts and will once again roll forward today and can get away with this yet again. The 3kg claim is a big positive and will just need some early luck from out wide.

(12) King Of Spades has started $1.35 and $2.90 in two of his starts this prep and just hasn’t been able to put it all together on race day. At double figure odds here he could bounce back.

(8) Angelical looks an exciting horse winning first two career starts in good fashion. No jockey booked just yet but if they do run here I think she’s a definite winning chance.

(12) Petulant should be able to handle the rise from maiden grade here and looked good winning that last start. Can settle up near the speed from barrier 4 and looks a progressive enough type. This is a relatively weak looking 64 and she can take the next step here with just natural improvement.

(8) Rupertaar is 2 wins from three starts and resumed with a tough on pace win over 900m. Will take fitness improvement from that run and still has upside.

(1) Tudor Music was only grabbed late last start over 1100m. Will be much more suited back to 1000m here.

With Petulant scratched will be having a small play on Tudor Music.

(3) Kibosh is a super honest mare who’s only missed the quinella once in nine career runs. She looked the winner first up but was just beaten by one late and she has a good 2nd up record. Will race up on speed and drops 1.5kg on the last run.

(5) Never Second has looked good since joining the Neasham stable and won well last start over 1200m. Has won here at Gosford before and she maps for a nice run from gate 6 today.

(1) Osamu ran okay first up off a break carrying 61kg. Will enjoy the big weight drop today with the 3kg claimer engaged and has always showed plenty of ability. On best form he can win.

This looks a good little race between some in-form horses. (3) Bacchanalia is absolutely flying this time in work and was a good winner over an in-form horse last start. Back up to 1200m should prove no issue and he maps to get a nice trail in running here.

(1) Bend The Knee returns from a little break and finished off last prep with a good win over 1400m. These might be a bit sharp for him over 1200m but I’ve always had a big opinion.

(8) Authentic Jewel is airborne at the moment, winning last two nicely from the front. Carried 58kg last start and now gets well down in the weights which she will appreciate.

(2) King Of Sparta probably the class runner in this field and goes very well fresh. If he can find his best form he’s a good winning chance.

(2) Brookspire looks well placed here third up and rising to the mile. Looked very good winning last start over 1400m and was very well backed on the day. Gets a weight swing on Expat today following the first up defeat and from barrier two today I’d expect them to be able to settle a little closer here. Handles all conditions and she’s ready to win again.

They take the blinkers off (1) Expat following a poor run when heading north for a black type race. Just never travelled like a winner in the straight but the first up run was good and you could be forgiving for the 2nd up flop. The mile is some query.

(10) Zou De Moon next best and is an honest sort of horse.
