She was scratched from Wyong yesterday for this race and I believe it was the right decision as she looks to break her maiden status. (7) Escape Artist has a fair preparation earlier this year where she was able run well around good horses despite being unlucky in both.

First-up at Warwick Farm she was wide throughout the run as she went down a length to Zero To Hundred before she went to Kensington, where she was again caught wide, finishing 3.8 lengths in fourth. The form around that race is quite good with four runners winning since, with the winner running okay in Group and Listed races.

She gets to stay at a nice big track as she drops back to provincial level and will appreciate getting back on top of the ground. She has had two good trials in the lead up to this so she should be fit and ready to go and from the draw, won’t get stuck wide like she was last preparation. With even luck, she is hard to beat.

I thought this bloke’s run at Wyong last start was very bold despite not overly loving the tight Wyong track. (2) Prospero come from last there to finish 1.2 lengths in fourth, making ground in the straight. Before that she was competitive against Urbino over the 2000m who has since run well and beat him that start before over the 1800m. He will appreciate the firmer going over 2000m and back on to the bigger track at Hawkesbury. He will get into a nice spot from the draw and be right in the finish with even luck.
