Another Saturday means we have a another big bumper ten race card in Sydney. This week Randwick will play host to the action.

The track is currently rated a good 4 with the rail out 3 metres.

(2) Himalaism has looked the part at two recent trials. He was scratched from a big race last week due to a wet track so the stable clearly have an opinion of him. McDonald has been aboard for the trials and will ride on race day. Looks exciting.

(7) Uncorked will be popular with race experience under the belt. Finished 2nd on debut as favourite and has won a trial leading into today.

(5) Hyde can be a big improver 2nd up with the stable flying at the minute.

(3) Toomuchtobear is one of mine and I think he’s a bit overs here today. Trials have been pretty quite without being asked to do much. That win back at the start of last prep over Mr Brightside is proper group 1 form now and with the claim for Reece Jones I think he can get away with this.

Both (5) Starman and (8) Sacrimony had little between them last start with the former getting the chocolates. They’ve got upside and look ready to tackle 1400m for the first time.

Extremely open Highway and it’s a bit of a dart board job.

Going to take a chance that (9) Mr Burgundy can measure up here after a big win last start when a drifter in the betting. Will Freedman has a bit of an opinion of this horse and getting well down in the weights here from a good draw I think he might run a hole.

(2) Shelby Sixtysix looked home last week in the Highway but was only beaten in a very tight photo. That was dropping from 1600m to 1000m so he’s clearly airborne and is on the quick backup again today. Has to be in with another chance.

(6) I’ve Bean Tryin’ has looked good winning two on the trot down in Canberra and looks a horse on the up.

(16) Shemakesastatement did just that last start, making a mess of the field at Scone. deserves a crack here and is flying.

(4) Queen Bellissimo drops in grade and rises in weight but should be rock hard fit now 3rd up and has been flying this prep. Should lead or be OSL from the low draw and this is a much easier race then the one she almost won last start.

(2) Prince Invincible will appreciate a dry track and has shown glimpses of class when getting conditions to suit. Can get away with this and won’t be losing on him.

(11) Hollywood Gossip is flying and Jmac sticks following the last start win. Looks ready to take the next step.

Probably the race I’m least keen on today with a very open middle-distance race. All these horses look pretty evenly matched.

Can’t knock (3) Huetor who is unbeaten from two starts since arriving in Australia. Been a couple of big wins and now gets out to 2000m where his record is good. Looks primed to run well again.

(8) Born A King drops in weight following a tough run last start when trapped wide. Did well to keep finding to the line and looks well placed today.

(7) Welsh Legend looks ready to pull out a peak run. Gets a weight swing on Huetor now and has a great record 3rd up.

(3) Saigon was a big eye catcher fresh, running on from well back to just miss behind an in-form horse. Keen to follow him 2nd up and he will enjoy getting onto the Randwick track.

(2) Exotic Ruby will be better getting back onto dry and is on the quick backup from last week. Up to 1400m looks ideal and she will run very well.

(4) Artcic Thunder is starting to put together a very strong career record and was a tough win first up. 1400m should suit and looks to have come back in very good order.

(8) Francesco Guardi looked to be home last start before being run down late by one who had significant weight advantage. Looks primed to win now and dropping in the weights will only suit him. The slight rise to the mile is also a positive and he’s one of the few horses in this race who is bringing in any sort of form.

(10) Speed Legend will have to handle rising sharply in grade but looks on the up and looks the untapped horse in the race,

(9) Bigboyroy is becoming a costly horse to follow but never runs a bad race. Had to give Katalin 4kg first up so was very brave to finish as close as he did. Drops 4kg now and should be able to find a forward position and the dry track today is in his favour.

(1) Frosty Rocks flies fresh and has a very good record here at Randwick. Josh Parr has also ridden him four times for four wins so he will once again give him every chance today.

(5) Bottega resumes and can run well first up. Mixed his form last prep but his best can definitely win this.

(6) Much Much Better looks as if he will get an easy lead in this and that might be enough for him to get away with it. Is fit and you know exactly what you’ll get with him. Can measure up.

(8) Tycoonist was very unlucky not to win first up and should take a heap of improvement out of that. Jmac sticks for the ride today and the extra 100m will suit. Rarely puts in a poor run.

(5) Starla probably the value runner.

(12) Leo absolutely loves this Randwick 1000m having won four of five starts at the track/trip. The recent trial was as good as you’ll see and he looks ready to progress to some better races this prep.

(3) The Bopper is a proven performer at Stakes level and has had four trials since being spelled for almost 12 months. Is speedy and has looked to get better with each trial performance.

If they come north with (5) Easy Single he can’t be taken lightly. Is a line finder and will race on speed and is tough as nails.

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
