(11) Russian Conquest was a good winner on debut when sitting wide the trip but still finishing too strong. Beat Uncorked there who’s since come out and run another good 2nd.

(7) Narnia has looked handy enough at two trials and everything the stable produces at the moment is turning to gold.

(3) Hard To Say was very good over the closing stages of a good race up in QLD. Looks suited rising in trip slightly and is ready to win now.

(9) Shalailed will need luck from the draw but started favourite on debut and should take a bit of improvement from that.

Not often I’m super keen on a Highway runner but (5) Casino Lord looks a cracking bet here. He’s been enormous in two runs this prep and just hasn’t helped himself with the way he races. There looks to be plenty of speed on in this 1100m sprint so he should be suited and 3rd up now is ready to peak. Ran the fastest L200 of the entire meeting at Randwick first up and then reeled off very quick closing splits last start as well. Is airborne and he is ready to win.

(3) Anethole was very good first up over a shorter sprint trip. Looks to have come back in top order and just got too far back last start. 2nd up record is good.

(12) Zakor looks ready to win again following a few good runs this time in. Beat Anethole two back.

(8) Solar Apex is just a 1600m horse and his record shows that. Think keeping him at the mile is the key and he’s well down in the weights off the last start win.

(4) Kirwan’s Lane was coming off a 6 week break into the Villiers and ran well there. Will take a stack of improvement out of that and is probably the class horse in this field.

(7) Five Kingdom was too good over 1800m at Flemington and has been in good form this prep. Will be up on speed and tough to run down with 52kg.

(7) Spaltet is lightly raced and still has a bit of upside in comparison to many of the key rivals here today. He’s been building nicely this prep and is sure to enjoy getting out to 2000m.

(1) Pecuniary Interest was a huge win first up, missing the start before running right over the top of a decent bm72 field. Bowman takes over today and he’s got a good record up at this trip.

(8) Microna is front running and very honest. Will once again be up on speed and should enjoy getting back onto a dry track.

Have been on (10) Niffler last couple of starts and I see no reason to jump off just yet. Has been progressing nicely through the grades and I’ve always had the opinion she will be better over a trip. They stretch her out again today to 1800m and she gets well down in the weights. Barrier 4 means she can position up nicely in the run and this doesn’t look the strongest Saturday bm78.

(3) Greek Hero looks overs for mine. Been very good running on from the back this prep and looks ready for this trip now.

(8) Lady Of Luxury is very consistent and should be thereabouts again today. Was winding up late last start and I’m happy to see them step up to 1200m again. Barrier 1 might mean they can be a bit more positive on her.

(9) Forzanini has come back in great order this prep, recording two very popular wins. Can’t knock on that winning form and will be in the finish again you would think.

(7) Lady Banff did a few things wrong first up but I think she’s good enough to run well here. If she can find the front and settle she can take some catching.

(7) Criaderas is an impossible horse to follow and never helps himself with how far back he usually gets. With that said there is clearly plenty of ability there and he regularly reels off very quick late sectionals. 2000m for the first time could suit and I’m giving him one more chance..

(4) Attorney looks very well suited getting to 2000m now onto a dry track. Was a pass mark first up in the Villiers but this is a race much more to his liking and I think he can run well here at an each way price.

(6) Ho Ho Khan is a very interesting runner and ex Hong Kong horse. Was good having first start in Aus when running on well to just miss in a tight go. Should enjoy a dry track here and rising in trip.

(7) Tamerlane was impressive first up off a decent break. He ran on very well to record some good late sectionals and should take a heap of improvement out of that run. Might need a touch of luck from the wide draw but Bowman sticks for the ride and the horse will get back anyway. Will enjoy getting back onto the Randwick track and will get dry conditions to suit.

It’s pretty open outside of him but I would say (8) Loveplanet and (9) Super Effort look the main dangers while (1) Animate has to go in any exotics.

(6) Blesk is unlucky not to have won a couple more this prep, finishing 2nd on three occasions. Clearly is going very well and they have thrown the blinkers back on today. Will be charging late once again.

(4) I Am Vinnie is an interesting runner coming back up to Sydney where he has had most of his success. Just clearly doesn’t like it down in Victoria and has a very good record this track/trip.

(11) O’Mudgee looks a good value runner here. Building nicely into his prep with a good 2nd last start on a heavy track. Is unbeaten from two 3rd up runs and placed twice over the 1400m. Probably more suited on dry going as well.

(21) Otyrar was popular in the market when making local debut and ran very well to finish 2nd. Looks to get the run of the race today from barrier 3 which could make all the difference in this big field.

(12) Pentacost was an impressive debut winner, stretching away from them through the line and looks to have a heap of upside. Can be prominent in the run from a low draw and can get away with this.

(11) Remus is the value runner for the exotics and has to go into the numbers 3rd up and ready to peak.

(2) Waihaha Falls has always flashed ability and beat home Francesco Guardi last start who has since come out and won. Looks on the up.
