(4) Steplee looks a promising horse and finished his debut prep with two strong wins and a 2nd. Only got better as the prep went on and proved he handles wet tracks. Jmac on is a big lead from the stable and I think he will be winning with even luck.

(11) Zoo Station isn’t the worst here resuming from a spell. Won first up at this track last prep over 1400m and has won a trial leading into this.

(7) Golden Point is flying at the moment, winning last two in good fashion. Is a proven wet track performer and bringing winning form into these highways is always a big positive.

(9) Tulla Park will be getting back from the wide draw but bolted in first up and looks suited rising to 1200m.

(3) Overlord finally broke through for a long overdue maiden win last start and I think he’s a chance to go on with it now. That was on a heavy track over 1200m and should be suited getting out to this trip in wet conditions once again.

(7) Fiordland was a good winner last start when getting out to a more suitable trip. Bit concerned about stepping back to 1500m but looks progressive and Jmac has been booked.

(5) One Aye finished off very well in a similar race to this last start and should be fitter now.

(1) Dynamic Impact drops in grade for this after a good run behind Kirwan’s Lane. That form should be right up to this and gets a nice claim.

Like (3) Saigon now third up rising to 1500m. Was a huge run fresh to finish 2nd to Shihonka before just not being suited last start. Good record at this trip and McDonald sticks for the ride. Expect him to run on from the back very well.

(1) Faschanel looks the likely leader and was very good winning last start. Will have similar tactics here today and no doubt will take some running down.

(2) Arctic Thunder was a bit of a forgive run 2nd up after a good win fresh. Wouldn’t surprise to see him bounce back here at his favourite track.

(9) And We Danced will be having first local start since joining the Waller stable from NZ. Has form around a Group winning horse over there and recent trials have been okay. Big watch.

(11) Hasty Duchess started single figures in a better race than this last start but did no favours for herself in the run. Looked very good winning first up on a heavy track and expect getting to 1400m third up will be her go.

(5) Metro Legend was a winner first up last prep and gets similar sort of set up here. Winning strike rate isn’t crash hot but think 1400m will suit off the back of two solid trials.

(4) Nictock will likely lead these up yet again and has been very tough this prep. Steps to this trip for the first time and the last 50m will be the big query.

(5) Yiyi resumes and I think can run a very good race first up. Absolute swimmer and if the rain hits hard then I expect he’ll be right in this. Looked good winning a few last prep and flies fresh.

(2) Darleb is absolutely airborne at the moment, winning three straight and is racing better than he ever has. Switch back to 1400m shouldn’t be an issue and is his favoured trip.

Not sure what to make of (8) Kingsheir who has promised so much but just hasn’t won enough recently to be confident in following him in here as favourite. Can win on best form.

(1) Rule Of Law looks to be a new horse since being gelded, winning two on the bounce this prep in very good fashion. Goes forward, gets a good claim and you know exactly what you’ll get from him here again. Handles all conditions and he looks very well on the up.

(5) Miracle Day is another horse here who is building a very good record this prep. Will be gunning for four straight wins here and this looks another logical step up in grade.

(3) Never Second is also airborne at the moment, winning last two very well and will be looking for a hat trick of wins. Loves the wet and maps for a nice trail behind the leaders.

Tip: (1) Rule Of Law - $2.80 at Sportsbet

(2) Canasta keeps running well without breaking through and might just be the superior wet tracker in this field. This looks to be his best chance of a win this prep and should be hard fit now and take some catching.

(8) O’mudgee can run a hole here at a price. Drops 4kg on last start where he wasn’t at his best but should be suited by conditions here and getting up to 1500m is a positive.

(6) Loveplanet was a pass mark fresh over a trip well short of his best and will be much better getting out to a trip now. Has a very good record 2nd up and looks to have some upside still to come in comparison to many of these.

Tip: (2) Canasta - $3.20 at Ladbrokes

(4) Order Again should have finished closer last start and looks to finally be finding some form. Think he’s been looking for a wet track and gets Jmac on from a nice barrier which means you’d expect he sees a gun run.

(5) Criaderas was good rising to this trip for the very first time but once again just could not reel in the leaders. His racing pattern really hurts him but looks to be building to a peak run now and this looks his best chance of a win this prep.

Big step up in grade here but (14) Pecuniary Interest is flying and has won two midways leading into this. Gets a big drop in the weights and he gets through all conditions.

(13) Welsh Legend next best and looks ready to do something 4th up.

(2) Zegalo looks well placed here and is ready to win now 4th up following a couple of good runs this prep. Was heavily backed last start and made up a stack of ground from the back of the field in tight room from. 2/2 on heavy tracks and won’t get a better chance to breakthrough than today.

(6) Niffler finished 2nd just in front of Zegalo last start and that was the first time she’d been beaten. I’d imagine there will be little between this two again and this horse still has plenty of progression to come.

(7) Nothinsweetaboutme will lead these up once again and will take some running down. Won two on the trot now and is a chance to make it a hattrick.

Happy to back two Waller runners here for a result and pretty confident we can land one of them.

(5) Tycoonist is a swimmer and has looked very good this prep. Put them away in a matter of strides last start and while he rises 2.5kg on that, this looks no harder. Third up he’s hard fit and should see a perfect run.

(4) True Detective has had his struggles of recent times but I think he was looking for a heavy track towards the end of last prep. Bets runs recently have been with his toe in the ground so he gets that today and goes well fresh. Looks well placed down on 55kg in this grade.

(2) Matowatakpe resumes and had a very impressive prep last time in work. Might be looking for further but gets conditions to suit and recent trial was good.
