(5) Hell Hound couldn’t have been more impressive on debut, winning by almost 2L and running good time in doing so. Almost broke the track record there and clearly looks very progressive. Better for that experience and this looks a reasonable next step in her career.

(4) Zouthor looked really good at a recent trial and ran pretty good time there under a hold. Looks the main danger.

(8) Royal Invader is another debutant who looks above average and you can never count out this stable producing a good one.

Tip: (5) Hell Hound - $2.40 at TAB

(7) The Nephew finished off really well behind a progressive horse in Detonator Jack. Off that run I think he will run the trip here and can be finishing hard yet again.

(9) Withcita Star measure right up at toughest test to date last start and beat a few of these home in the process. Has been airborne this prep and loves 2400m.

(2) Eureka Street set a crazy tempo in that race and was always going to struggle to finish off. Looks to be less speed on here and should be able to dictate a bit better up in the lead today.

(5) Agnelli drops out of open class and is better suited back to a race like this. Can put himself up on speed and rarely puts in a poor run.

(1) Jucconi looks an up and coming horse for the McEvoy stable and comes here off a super impressive win at The Valley when no luck in the run. Kept coming there and has now notched three wins from four career starts. Madi Lloyd takes 2kg off here which will help and the slight rise to 1300 looks no isse 3rd up and hard fit.

Can be a touch forgiving of (9) Stretto last start where the jockey thought his action was off. Was dominant the start previously and off that run he can win again.

(8) Naval Envoy looks a big price and will enjoy getting back to his most favoured track. Any rain helps his chances.

(12) Skywolf bolted in last start in weaker grade. Looks on the up and looks to get a gun run here today.

(3) Ocean Miss resumes off a long spell but brings to this an unbeaten fresh record. 3/3 when resuming and she is good enough for these but just needs to be wound up enough over this shorter trip.

I’ve been tipping (6) La Vina every time it’s been down to race this prep but has been scratched each time. They might get their much wanted wet track today and if that is the case then she has to go in the numbers.

(1) Agreeable is the class horse here and if she produces her best she will be tough to beat. Probably doesn’t want it too wet?

(9) Commands The Field as honest as they come and could go on with it after a break through win.

(8) California Surreal is desperate for a dry track and could possibly find that today. Like the Sydney form coming here for this and she looks a touch overs if the track is dry enough.

Think we can see the best of (4) My Yankee Girl 2nd up here off a solid fresh run. That was in a strong race behind Najmaty and I think rising to 1300m is a big plus for her.

(1) Literary Magnate ran very well in stakes grade first up last prep over 1200m. Hardly disgraced in much stronger races than this and she is right in this.

(10) Jayanthi comes off a maiden win but it was impressive and the market really likes her early. She’s clearly the one with some upside about her and yet to see her ceiling.

(5) Blistering hasn’t run a bad race and looks well up to this from a gun draw.

Tip: (8) California Surreal - $16/$4.60 at Bet365

(10) Starry Legend will be a big chance with a good fresh run under the belt. That was first start since being gelded and sure to improve off that. 2nd up record is strong and he’s been competitive in stronger races than this.

(11) Whipcracker Way can mix form but don’t mind him well down in the weights here. Can put himself up on speed and will be fitter for the fresh run. Winner over this track/trip.

(6) Young Liam will enjoy a drop in the weights for this and is super consistent. Back to 1000m is his go.

(3) Zorro’s Dream got too far back last start but had been going well leading into that. Can hit back here off the back of strong speed.

Got a bit of time for (5) Kaliuwaa Falls who has won two on the bounce and deserves a crack at a race like this. Just the five starts to his name and still has a heap of upside. Out to the mile poses no problems and maps for all favours.

(2) Belle Savoir is also lightly raced and while she was a touch flat 2nd up, there was a stack of merit to her fresh win. She’s 3rd up now and stretching out in trip will be hard to beat.

(1) Gundec will likely lead them up again and has been racing well this prep. Will give himself every chance here.

(9) Flash Feeling probably should have won last start and looks set to peak here.

(5) Regardsmaree looks primed to run well here after a very good win over some top line sprinters last week. Ran past the likes of Lombardo, Swats That and The Astrologist and is even better at 1400m now. On the quick backup he is clearly going very well and the wide draw gives him plenty of room to wind up.

(1) Buffalo River is a class horse and is always at his best on the fresher side. Any rain will help him but he’s sure to give a good sight.

(9) Excelida was super last start at a huge price in the Victoria Handicap. A 3rd to Ayrton and Streets Of Avalon looks pretty strong form for this.

(11) Eagles Crag finished 2nd to Mr Brightside first up last prep and started favourite there. That form has obviously been well and truly franked. Recent jumpout was good and always though he had a bit of talent.

(4) Kinane was touted as the next Winx a while back and things have obviously not worked out well since. With that said, the fresh run was encouraging and I think he might be getting back towards some of his best form.

(14) Vitruvius was a huge run fresh with blinkers applied and is suited even more here rising to 1600m.

(6) Sir Davy ate up the mile last start and that was an emphatic win. He’s clearly on the up and will once again give himself every chance rolling along up on speed.

Any rain will suit (2) Duke Of Plumpton.
