Thought (10) She Can Talk could take a lot of improvement from a good first up run and perform well here today. Should roll forward and take some catching in a race where there doesn’t look to be too much speed. Stuck on well first-up and will only be fitter for this today. 

(8) Dismissal is becoming a costly horse for punters, having been rolled as a short-priced favourite in her last three starts. She continues to run well though, with three placing from four runs this prep and looks close to finally breaking through. 

(6) Alighted presents first up after tackling some strong races last prep – including the G1 Flight Stakes if you don’t mind. Obviously way out of her depth there but the stable clearly have an opinion and now drops back to maiden grade after a spell.

(2) Wedged looks hard to beat here on debut. He was a dominant trial winner recently where he ran good time for the day and looks a horse with plenty of talent. Should hunt up towards the lead from the low draw and should be too strong to the line.

The race-experienced (3) Excelness is the obvious threat, having finished in the minor money in both career starts. Has shown plenty of speed and could lead them up over the 900m.

Keen on another debutant here who looks ready to fire fresh in (8) Orbital Express. Was absolutely trucking under a hold to the line in her only trial at this track last month and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her make an impression today. Slightly concerning is the fact she missed the kick in that trial but willing to take the chance that she jumps with them today. Looks a decent bet in an open race. 

(2) Magnitudo will be well found and is a deserved favourite after a narrow 2nd to the smart Sirens at Gosford last start. That form looks strong enough for this and has race fitness on his side. 

Thought (5) Croesus is a winning chance as well. Comes into this off a 2nd on debut to a horse who looks pretty handy. Will only be improved from that and the slight rise to 1100m should suit.
