I am willing to give this one more chance here as he should get a couple of favours to suit. (6) Onemorechoice settled further back then I would have liked last start and it resulted in him getting onto heels at the 1300m and being checked before steadying up and getting placed on the heels of another. He finished 4.3 lengths back in eighth in a run I think the stable will want to forget. He comes back to a benchmark 66 here and although he is drawn in the centre, there is little early speed, so I expect him to be forward behind the likely leader and favourite (2) Miss Scalini. Serg Lisnyy is back aboard and he has a pretty good record on him, and the gelding also loves running at Tamworth, especially over this distance. I would much rather bet on him each-way with a chance to outgun the favourite late in the piece.

This bloke has changed stables from Brett Partelle to Cody Morgan and with it is a step back to country grade. (1) Aytobe has been running around in the provincials and doing quite well placing twice at provincial level and once at country level, which was first-up behind the promising Step On Fire. He is a well credentialled class one runner, placing 1.4 lengths off Geo at Gosford where our boy beat home Soami and Camp Rifle before going down to Mollycoddle by three lengths at Wyong whilst beating home Amoretti, who has since saluted in a class one and benchmark 72! Back to country grade and back to 1200m looks a great starting point and has the benefit of the 2kg claim of Dylan Gibbons. He should be able to put him into a prominent position which is ideal for Tamworth

This is a cracking sprint race to finish the day and there looks like there is plenty of speed. (3) Cassy’s Sister is returning first-up with no public trials, but first-up record is pretty good. Her one first-up faulter was last preparation over the 950m, where she was drawn awkwardly and settle in the second half of the field which isn’t ideal. She gets a nice draw here and with Serg Lisnyy aboard, she should be able to sit in a nice position throughout. The mare runs well around Tamworth and will love resuming on a good track. She raced at Wyong mid-way through last preparation, where she finished under a length in fourth behind Bombasay and Partners whilst beating home Moccasin Miss amongst others. If she can bring that sort of form to the table here first-up, then her price is definitely overs. Having a bet each-way is the go with no public trials.
