Nice little two-year-old race to start the day and I think (4) Hinged will start the punters off to a winning day.
He won well last start at the Gold Coast in what was above average in terms of pace and our girl had to do some early work to obtain a forward position. She gets a similar draw here but won’t have to do anywhere near the work she had to do in her previous start. She gets a chance to do some easy early sectionals before streaking away in the straight.
(3) The Stifmeister was one I blackbooked after it’s last start performance but it turns out, so did the bookies. He became a no bet the moment he opened around $2.50, and the fact of the matter is this, there is going to be poor pace once again. He may just blitz them here, but I do not want any part of the price.
Now what do we do with (8) Leaglese? It’s obvious she has talent but her performance or should I say ride she had last start was pretty questionable. Once he finally got into her, she finished the race off really well so 1300m will definitely suit her. Definite place chance.
Tip: (4) Hinged $4.60

Although his form has been pretty ordinary, this looks a very winnable race for (4) Advance Warning. I thought last start’s run had plenty of merit where he sat last in a race where the pace was lengths above par, and they rolled the dice by making a move on him to get him into the race, but he weakened out to finish fourth. Considering he prefers a dry track, the run was credible and with a dry track here, his chances increase. He carries no weight and will likely sit at the back of the field once again.
(2) Romakash settled last on a slow pace last start before making a move 1000m/800m out and he was never going to be caught as he caught them all off guard. He will look to mimic his run last start and once again becomes a winning chance.
(1) Humbolt Current comes out of a very pacey race and was off the bit a long way from home. I think this proves he isn’t a great stayer (listed grade) but one who can compete in grades like this. He has won previously over this distance with a low weight, but this is a different kettle of fish.

Two-horse race here and the last time I had a race like this, I backed one and the other won. So this time I am backing both.
(10) Azzareach goes on top for me after leading last start at an average pace, only to be run over late in the race. He goes up in grade here, but I think coming back to 1000m is ideal, plus the jockey change is a positive in my opinion. He is drawn ideally and will be in the front two with the other horse we are backing, so as long as they don’t rip each other’s hair out and ruin each other’s race, we will be standing down the barrel of a winner.
(1) Leadership Spill returning in brilliant fashion with a 2.3 length win. He led the race from an ideal draw at a below average pace and absolutely ran them into the ground. He gets the same draw but has to carry 2.5kg more which shouldn’t worry him as he has carried the weight before.
(5) Genzai The Wolf is the one outside these two that could take advantage of the race if these two hinder each other’s run. He will be hitting the line regardless from a poor draw.

Really like two horses again here.
(5) Enterprise Prince made some good ground last start here at Eagle Farm of a slow pace with Maddi Rocks but unfortunately this was too much of a task on the day to win from there. He has to carry no weight with the 3kg claim of apprentice Kate Cowan, so maybe they push forward and attempt to slot in? If they can do this successfully, they are a big chance.
(6) She Za Boss hit the line well off a slow pace and was only beaten in the end by the leader who dictated. She is up to a more suitable distance now and they should push forward from the draw.
(1) Goodonya Sonja started well last start and held the inside the entire way. She just kept kicking to win and she does get a similar set-up again.

I really don’t like this race at all.
Settled with (7) Marla Jane here after an impressive win at the Sunshine Coast to break her maiden status. She had to use a fair amount of energy to push forward from out wide and sat second whilst the pace was above average. She kicked hard in the straight and won the race, though this is much harder. The draw is okay, and she shouldn’t have to do as much work here. She is a good each-way chance.
(5) Bold Executive broke his maiden status impressively after leading with the perfect amount of pace before kicking away. He is drawn ideally here, and I have to respect the form, especially after a dominant victory like that.
(6) Abracadazzle will be hitting her peak fitness now and has to be included.

Another tough race for the punters to start their quaddie’s on.
(5) Flying Crackerjak just peaked first-up behind Patches and What The Fuss after sitting predominantly throughout the race. He is drawn ideally here and is likely to sit in a similar position or even lead and has a chance to run a massive race with no weight on his back. He is nice each-way odds for a horse who will create his own luck second-up
(2) Only Wanna Sing led last start with average pace before kicking away at Toowoomba to win by 6.5 lengths. He will be just peaking in fitness and will probably try to lead from a good draw.
(3) Royal Hale rounds out the top three here as he returns. The gelding generally comes to hand pretty quickly though fitness could be an issue.

This is a tough race with multiple chances, though I have narrowed them down to three.
(4) Guise is on the quick back-up after what could only be described as an unlucky run. She got too far back from a bad draw and as they went to make the run on her around the bend, she got held up around 300m out before just missing by half a length. She is a massive chance here from a much better draw and I will be surprised if she isn’t in the finish once again.
(8) Hallowed Girl is absolutely airborne at the moment. She sat at the back of the pack with a slow pace in front of her before looming on the bend and kicking away for a nice win. This is a lot tougher but there is no doubting her form.
(11) Dinado sat on a slow pace last start before having to do a little bit of work to get off the fence in the straight to finish second behind Silent Agenda at Canterbury. Coming back 100m suits and she gets to carry no weight. She is drawn well and can be a factor in this race.

(5) Rebel Salute goes on top here after having a tough run behind a slow pace. He grinded his way to a narrow victory but I don’t think he beat a lot on the day. Get the benefit of a dryer track and drops 2kg from his last run with the claim of Tomlinson. He is very consistent, and I expect him to be prominent from the draw and to give himself every chance.
(10) So Taken began well last start behind a slow pace, on a track that was suiting those on pace. She fought on very well and finished just over a length off the talented Wheelhouse. She is third-up though she may have to get back from the draw.
(6) Wren’s Day would be on top had they drawn a gate, I think he gets pretty far back and runs home but I don’t see him a winning chance.

I think (3) Tara Jasmine goes forward from the wide draw after settling midfield from a better barrier. Unfortunately, the pace was average and because she was in an unfamiliar position, she was unable to improve her position. She flew home to finish second and I think she can go one better here. I expect them to lead this race like Tegan Harrison did two back at Grafton and for her to be hard to catch.
(1) Georgie’s Pride was very good behind Miami Fleiss, keeping her spot in second 3.5 lengths behind but she was 3.8 lengths in front of the rest of the field. She is drawn poorly here, so expect her to push forward or follow Tara Jasmine into the race.
(7) Back When looks the best of the rest.
