Friday racing comes our way from Muswellbrook where Billy Bestford has scoured the form and plucked out three races for us to bet in. Billy likes a two-horse play in Race 4, while his value bet of the day comes up in Race 5. However his most confident play comes in Race 7 in a strong bm66 race.

(2) Silent Tryst is only a lightly raced filly and is yet to miss the quinella in her 5 career starts to date. She was a convincing 3.8L winner in a similar race to this last start and think she will enjoy the step out to the longer trip today. From barrier 3 she can enjoy a nice run and looks above average in this sort of field.

There’s no doubting (3) Adios Steve is close to breaking through for a third career win after two straight placings. The most recent performance was good in a stronger metro grade race and he is 2/2 racing at this track.

(12) Lovetheinvasion was quickly put away after a comfortable 4.5L debut win back in December last year. She’s certainly one to watch here and any market support will be worth noting.

(9) Annyidea ran a really nice race on debut in a Gosford maiden where she just got too far back but the strong finish through the line was very encouraging. The horse that won that race came out and ran 2nd to Saquon at Wyong. Again, she’ll probably have to go back from the wide gate but there looks to be more speed in this race today which should suit.

(3) Trumped Up made a strong debut for his new stable last start at Tamworth and should improve from that performance. Faces the starter for the 14th time today and still looking for that elusive maiden win however.

Thought (4) Apache Red was a huge price here after a much improved run last start. Gave the leader too much start but really let down strongly and should be ready to peak here out to a longer trip. Obviously it looks a tougher race than he faced last start but worth a peanut at a big price.

Strong bm66 here and (5) Tempel One looks to have a bit of class about him. Started favourite twice in a Highway at Randwick last prep after a dominant debut win over this distance. Wasn’t able to put it all together in those Saturday races but rounded out the prep with a huge 4.6L romp back to country level. Goes well fresh and looks ready to fire after three trials leading into today.

(2) Magic On Ice looks the likely leader is flying recently. Has won 3 of his last 4 starts and looks to be putting it all together nicely now. Has won here before and will take some running down.

(8) Jaja Chaboogie can win based on her class but have a feeling she is a much better horse with some give in the ground. Worth following on the back of what she does today however.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
