Coming off a fair run at Moruya, (5) Gorush Lightning will look to improve on that sixth placing with a solid display here.

He has been freshened up from that run which is the normal for this fella but will still have plenty of fitness for this run. He has proven in the past that he is competitive in this grade in the wet, in fact he performs just as good in the wet as he does on the dry.

With an ideal draw and a massive 4kg claim of Jess Del Frari, he will be on pace which is where you want to be in the wet and could very well pinch this race.
