Struggling to see how they beat (4) Skyman in the 2021 Yarra Valley Cup. Obviously he has been well found and is short enough but looks a strong bank builder for your Sunday. Was smashed in betting last start at Flemington where he saluted for punters and I can’t see any reason why he doesn’t repeat that performance today. If anything, he will be able to position up in a better spot from barrier 1 and take the gaps as they open in the straight. Is easily the class horse of the field and I can’t see anything beating him today.

(2) Hang Man is the obvious danger and brings strong form into the race. Just think Skyman is a horse who is still on the up this preparation and will be too strong for his rivals late in this 1950m trip.

Think (6) Kiata is the horse to beat in this 1000m dash. Has been running well lately without going on with it but strikes a very winnable race here today. Form has been good in stronger midweek races like this and should hold the lead from the inside barrier. Can race at a high cruising speed and give a kick when called upon and there isn’t much more you can ask for from a horse. The form behind Heka Express looks great now after that horse went on to win again on Friday Night at Cranbourne and a performance similar to that will be winning this race today.
