(1) Marlion’s Dream resumes here off a really nice jump out and tells me he is ready to fire fresh. Bolted in this track and trip on debut and backed that up with another impressive win on this track. Spelled quickly after a last prep fail but he’s clearly got upside. Expet he’ll get back from the wide gate and be flying late.

No doubt (3) Shines looks a big threat and comes into this off an impressive debut win. Ran good time there and hardly got out of second gear. On the up.

(8) Pouvoir De Soie is flying this prep and will enjoy dropping in the weights here while rising in grade. She’s hard fit and ready to peak.

I think getting up to 1600m is the key for (7) Villaden who was fair first up. Out in trip now and from a nice draw I expect he sees every chance in running from Prebble. Bit of money around for him last start so thinking he has come back in good order and has upside.

(5) Captain Corelli gets the blinkers on and that might be enough to sharpen him up and notch another win. Expect he could lead this and will take some running down.

(1) Confrontational was back to better form last start and his best runs have come over the mile. He looks close to another win.

Billy Bestford

Billy has been an avid racing fan ever since he and a few mates started a punters club once they turned 18. Following the initial punters clubs, he was properly hooked after landing a nice collect on Admire Rakti in the 2014 Caulfield Cup and has had a soft spot for Japanese horses ever since. Is a massive fan of 'blinkers first time' and has been known to enjoy a 'Hail Mary' multi. Loves punting across metro Sydney and Melbourne every Saturday but isn't scared to venture West late in the day to find a Pikey special.
