The weight-for-age championship of Australasia is the Group 1 Cox Plate, and it headlines a blockbuster weekend of horse racing in Australia. The Cox Plate carnival kicks off at Moonee Valley with Manikato Stakes night on Friday, followed by Cox Plate day on Saturday, which also contains four Group 2s, two Group 3s and a Listed race.
